The final voting statistics for Tamil Nadu have been declared. Overall 78.12% of votes have been polled in the state.
The smallest constituency in terms of voters count KILVELUR in Nagappatinam District has emerged on top as the best polling constituency with 91.89% of votes polled. Hats Off to the citizens of the constituency.
Chennai as usual lags the rest of the state by being in the bottom of the vote polled. Only 68% of Chennaites came out to vote across the 16 constituencies in the state. Only 3 constituencies in Chennai crossed the 70% mark – DR.RADHAKRISHNAN NAGAR (72.4%), ROYAPURAM (70.64%) & SAIDAPET (70.33%).
Among Constituencies out of 234 constituencies only 25 polled less than 70%. 16 of these 25 are in Chennai (13) & it’s suburbs (3 – Alandur, Tambaram, Shozhinganallur).

Harbour Contituency is yet again the constituency with the lowest percentage of votes polled.
Only 2 districts in the state polled less than 70% – CHENNAI (68%) & KANNIYAKUMARI (68.93%).
A good 15 out of 32 districts polled more than 80% with KARUR topping at 86.06%. 12 districts polled between 75% & 80%.
